We're affiliated with the Professional Association for SQL Server.  This is a world-wide SQL Server organization for SQL Server Professionals.

Officer Roles

The President has overall responsibility for the activities of the group.  This person coordinates the activities of the officers in meeting planning.  The President is also responsible for planning 3-4 meetings per year.  The President represents the group at the PASS conference and receives a free conference registration.

All officers work together to plan 3-4 meetings per year. They are responsible for finding speakers and choosing topics. One Officer may be designated the SACSQLUG liaison.

Group History

Jay Konigsberg, President (March 3, 2010 - October 11, 2010)
- Founded the Sacramento SQL Server User Group on LinkedIn on March 3, 2010
- Held our inaugural meeting held at the ISINC facility in Sacramento on May 12, 2010
Eric Freeman, President (October 11, 2010 - April 3, 2013)
- Revived the group by coordinating second meeting held on September 22, 2010
- Created bylaws and lead the effort for the group to become an official PASS Chapter
- Secured Robert Half Technology as site sponsor, establishing regular monthly meetings
- Co-coordinated (with Dan Hess) Sacramento's first SQL Saturday (#144) on July 28th, 2012
