How to Dynamically Create and Maintain Partitions in SQL Server Large Tables - Saru Radhakrishnan

This session is geared towards database architects, developers and DBAs who are interested in solving the on-going data population and maintenance of Very Large Tables in SQL Server.

Saru's 2011 article on this topic in SQL Server PRO Magazine has, and continues to, receive positive responses from SQL professionals worldwide, and he continues to provide the SQL scripts used in the article upon request via e-mail. The session will cover a couple of real world examples, include a quick demo as well as a few tricks you can do with table partitions.

Saru Radhakrishnan works as a Data Architect at CEA (California Earthquake Authority) through Robert Half Technology. He has 25+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and holds an MCP in SQL Server administration with a strong emphasis on Database Admin/Development, Performance Tuning, T-SQL Programming, ETL and Data Warehousing.
