Query Plans - Kalen Delaney Being able to determine how SQL Server is processing your critical queries is the most crucial step in determining what queries are tunable, and how you might begin your tuning efforts. We will cover the basics of displaying various kinds of query plans, both text based and graphical. We will also look at the XML query plan feature available through SQL Server Management Studio. Kalen Delaney is a SQL Server MVP who has worked with SQL Server for 29 years. She has provided performance consulting services and taught advanced courses on SQL Server to thousands of people and organizations. In addition to her courseware development, Kalen has been writing about SQL Server for years. She is the primary author of "SQL Server Internals" and the "Inside SQL Server" series. Kalen is also one of the primary editors for the Red Gate "SQL Server Stairways" tutorials.
