PASS Summit 2015 will be held the last week of October in Seattle. Mitch Bottel, Dan Hess, Dilip Nayak and Glenn Burnett plan to attend. They'll be back in Sacramento for the November 4th Sacramento SQL Server User Group meeting, and each will share some highlights of their favorite PASS Summit 2015 sessions.

About Dan:
Dan has been in IT for the last 18 years, graduating from California State University, Chico with a computer science degree. He's been focused on SQL Server since 2007 when he was given the "accidental DBA" title. After learning to swim in the deep end and moving jobs to Sacramento, he saw the need to help others who were in a similar position and helped to form the Sacramento SQL Server user group. Database administration is his primary focus.

Meeting Schedule and Structure

The Sacramento SQL Server User Group meets the first Wednesday of every month. Most meetings will have a presentation, while others are open group sessions which allow attendees to discuss SQL Server questions, issues and news as a group.

We start each meeting with some time to network and get situated. Unless otherwise noted, the schedule for each meeting will be:

6:00 PM - 6:15 PM: Mingle/networking, get food & beverages, presentation setup
6:15 PM - 6:30 PM: Group announcements, agenda, introduce speaker
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM: Presentation
7:30 PM - 8:00 PM: Post-meeting discussions
