Cloud-Enabling SQL Server with PowerShell - Eric Courville What challenges will DBA's face as they plan their migration to a cloud-based DevOps model? We will look at how CI/CD toolchains will require DBA's to automate as much as possible to allow for agile development processes. We'll take a look at how PowerShell will be an integral part of the DBA's workflow in these new processes. Eric Courville is a Cloud and Datacenter MVP and has supported databases over the last twenty years on Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL. Eric leads the NorcalPosh user group in the bay area and by day works with OpenStack and AWS.

About Eric:
Eric Courville has been with Verizon for 15 years supporting and implementing Large Enterprise Resource Planning Applications from vendors such as Oracle, Microsoft and SAP. Specializing in application monitoring, and integrating SSO with third party applications. Eric is Also the founder of the Northern California PowerShell User Group with locations in San Francisco and the Sacramento area.

Meeting Schedule and Structure

The Sacramento SQL Server User Group meets the first Wednesday of every month. Most meetings will have a presentation, while others are open group sessions which allow attendees to discuss SQL Server questions, issues and news as a group.

We start each meeting with some time to network and get situated. Unless otherwise noted, the schedule for each meeting will be:

6:00 PM - 6:15 PM: Mingle/networking, get food & beverages, presentation setup
6:15 PM - 6:30 PM: Group announcements, agenda, introduce speaker
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM: Presentation
7:30 PM - 8:00 PM: Post-meeting discussions
